Spanish School

In 1998, after more than 30 years of fighting injustice in Guatemala, our community of Nuevo Horizonte was born on 900 hectares of barren cattle ranch. Twenty years later our cooperative has grown with our goals to promote biodiversity, live in solidarity, and create a positive future for our descendants. In January of 2017 we proudly opened the cooperative’s latest project, Corazon de Maria Spanish School, which offers tourists a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in our community, learn Guatemalan history, participate in numerous activities, and, of course, improve their Spanish. Regardless of your experience level our teachers will create a curriculum suited to your needs, allowing you to connect with the
people who call this beautiful country home.
Spanish Classes
One-on-one, personalized courses starting from just $124US per week. No matter your skill level we'll design a curriculum for you!
Accommodation
We offer private and collective lodging so you can choose which one you will feel most comfortable with and enjoy your stay in our community.
Activities
Aside from Spanish classes we pride ourselves in making your stay as immersive as possible. This includes extra-curricular activities like camping, sports, history lessons and dancing.
